Building a network of hope and security for mums through work.

Supporting women with training, counseling and access to employment.

Our Vision

Mission Mums is a women-led initiative. We believe in the importance of social inclusion and economic independence for women. Our goal is to provide the tools and knowledge that support and enable women to gain employment and become financially independent.

Our projects

Employment opportunities through handmade crafts

We create opportunities for Ukrainian women artisans to earn income by bringing their skills and handmade products to market.

We work to connect buyers and companies with products created by women refugees.

Workshops and training

We design, fund and implement training programs where women are able to learn and then utilize their professional skills to support themselves financially.

Their stories

  • Irina

In Ukraine, Irina worked day and night to build a successful business.

She was so happy to have enough money to buy an apartment, her sleepless nights and hours of hard work were starting to pay off.

But, in only 24 hours, her life was changed. She was given less than 2 hours to pack her things, leaving her business, her apartment, and everything behind. Becoming a 'refugee' with no financial independence, not speaking the language, depending on complete strangers to support her and her son.

  • Marina

Only a few weeks ago, Marina was sitting in her apartment in Kyiv looking at her newborn son, filled with joy. She had a loving husband by her side, her children were happy and safe,.

One week later, Marina was sitting alone on a bus with a bunch of strangers, with her 3 months old son strapped to her chest and her daughter by her side. They were escaping the war. Her husband had to stay behind.

Now Marina is living in a foreign country where she does not speak the language. She has no financial means to support herself or her children. Every day she is praying for the war to end.

  • Olga

Olga was looking forward to this summer. Her husband and two sons - 10 and 18 years old - were planning their vacation in Spain

Olga is now in Spain but for different reasons. She is fleeing the sound of bullets and bombs. Her husband and her 18 year old son have stayed behind in Ukraine. Her heart is full of pain and worry. .

But she has to be strong for her 10 year old boy. She wants to find work to provide her son with a sense of stability and security
